I love the Fatima shot.It shows how tradition can be informed by the modern. I've always admired women who have the skill to carry on their heads, it takes such strong and beautiful posture. I've always heard good things about Nicaraga because so many Americans have gone through Central America from Belize to Costa Rica, looking for cheap real estate.

Catherine, we do appreciate your focus on Pozos with the short history, great pictures and the discussion on the new emerging Pozos. We are also thankful that you didn't call Pozos the new San Miguel.
We want to improve on Pozos by inviting people that appreciate the history and beauty of this great place that although not unique in Mexico has such a draw for us that we have built in the mine area.

Excellent post Catherine... really gets the wanderlust going thinking about travelling to places like that... there was a fabulous film a few years ago (1998) called Central Do Brasil about a road trip in Brazil... you've given me the same feeling that film did...

Now am off to look for your post from last March about murder and mayhem !

Oh, love your post today, Catherine! That's not unusual of course, but this was a fun and colorful one! Love the hammocks, so colorful and beautiful! But I do have a thing for rockers and I could spent some very happy hours in any of these!
