Shadow Shot Sunday 16 - Calle Valladolid, DF

Just a really simple shot of an ordinary street that I walk down often here in Mexico City, to get from my neighbourhood Colonia Cuauhtemoc to La Condesa, an area with lots of parks, cafes, bars and restaurants just twenty minutes away. I added a little sepia tint to give the shot a more old-fashioned retro feel, as I have been looking recently at some of the beautiful vintage sepia prints of old Mexico City in the early twentieth century...............

Very sharp shadows and indeed that sepia tint makes it look a more old-fashioned retro feel.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Hi Catherine, have been having a crazy time at work, and haven't been out and around as much as I would like... were you able to get to the Island of Dolls finally?

Love your cemetery shadow shots a few posts down here. Looks like you have been busy too... enjoying a wide range of Mexico ! BTW, have you read Grahame Greene's book about travelling in Mexico?

I was in Singapore during the Sars, people too wore mask. But masks are not comfortable things. they became very hot, and people didn't wear them properly.

Thanks for visiting my site.

Great shadow contrasts of strong bar shape against wandering leaves. Beautiful!
