Shadow Shot Sunday 87 - My Apartment Building!!

I haven't been out and about as much as usual ever since a Christmas vicious sting ray barb right through the foot put paid to my usual rapid walking pace and intrepid adventures, - but hey I only need to venture as far as the car park in my building to capture these shadow shots....

They look like complex Escher abstract designs or Bridget Riley Op Art optical illusions, but in reality they are just the car park gates and shadows thrown.....really!!

For more fun with shadows, check out Shadow Shot Sunday by clicking here. Enjoy!!

I love these! Fantastic lines.

The abstract and geometric patterns are great art. The confusion seems to be as to where the subject ends and shadow begins. Hope you heal fully soon, but shadow capturing is a fine way to recuperate!

They look like mathematical art.

These are some really splendid shadows. You're right, they are Escher-like. I love the glare you've captured in the middle shot. Hope you're recovering from that sting...
Happy SSS.

Very cool ShadowShots. Now I'm a bit dizzy! Also loved the sand sculpting shots in Puerta Vallarta. Have a good weekend.

Wow, Catherine. They are wonderful, and so easy for you to reach. Dreadful, being stung by a ray. I hope you're back to your intrepid self soon.

Hope your foot has healed ok. What a painful injury!
Great shadow shots! Very mush like an optical illusion!

Incredible shadows and light there... the eye hardly knows where to rest...

Hope that foot is healing up ok... I'll bet you never would have guessed you'd have been stung by a sting ray in your lifetime...

LOL that's the first thing that came to mind to me, too - Escher. Great capture!

OH - P.S. - you asked how I did mine. I shone a flashlight through a glass paperweight onto the wall behind it, with the room darkened.
