Shadow Shot Sunday 94 - Cuetzalan

Cuetzalan is a magic village way up in the mountains in the state of Puebla at the very, very end of the winding road. There are many magical aspects to this traditional Mexican village - not least of all the markets. I love this photograph above with some tomatoes illuminated from above, and others in gloomy shadow. Look what else is for sale in the markets.....

What a colourful feast for the senses!! A very common experience here in Mexico!! For more shadow shot photographs from around the world, check out Shadow Shot Sunday by clicking here. Enjoy!!

"Some" tomatoes? It looks like Tomato Mountain!

SHADOW COUNTING

A shadow for one?
What fun, what fun!

A shadow for two—
In black or blue?

A shadow for three?
O my, O me!

A shadow for four?
Ah, mi amour!

A shadow for five?
Coming alive!

A shadow for six?
Light playing tricks!

The colors of the marketplace are bold and vibrant pastels. The airiness of this place is the blend of said colors sitting underneath a warm sun, the feast for the eyes of all.

I would love to have some of these red and ripe tomatoes right about now - we have to wait until summer for local, ripe and delicious tomatoes like these. Beauty abounds in this market!

I love these markets!! And, I too, can never get enough color these days, it seems. Lots of it here and I'm drinking it all in! Terrific post for the day as always, Catherine! Have a wonderful, colorful and sunny weekend!

I would love to live somewhere with so much colour, instead of unrelenting winter grey!

Oh, how I long for a good tomato, nevermind a whole cart full!

An all-around fabulous post! I really like the photo montage thing you created. That is hangable!

I cannot believe ALL those tomatoes! Your photos of the market are much appreciated today as the weather here is dreary and rainy, the snow grungy, the roads muddy.... How nice to get away for a few minutes to sunny Mexico. :)
