This blog used to be about living in Mexico City and travelling throughout Mexico, but I have now moved to the French Riviera, living in Nice and working in Monaco.....Can the simple life be found here?? I will try and find out....

Shadow Shot Sunday 139 - Le Cannet
At the golden hour in Le Cannet, pollarded trees cast spooky, sinister shadows on the glowing walls of a beautiful Belle Epoque villa. Such trees and their shadows are a strong feature around town....

Beautiful shadows.
Regards and best wishes
So, so pretty....I've not heard of this type of tree, so it not only was pretty, educational too.
My Sunday Shadows Link: MISTY MORNING
I do hope to see you stop by for a visit if you can find time. Have a great Sunday.
Those tree shadows are indeed spooky, like Sylvia said.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week seeking shadows.
You're absolutely right - those ARE spooky shadows!
The wonderful lighting in the first photo is fascinating! The shadows of the tree boughs are quite gnarled like reaching, creepy long fingers!
The tree that makes the shadow does seem to resemble a bony hand reaching up its bony fingers to grasp the home...well, shadows do get our imaginations to work overtime it might seem!
what an awesome series of photos catherine!! love the first on with the yellow such a bold background to the shadows.
I like the color of these houses ...
the light is wonderful!!
I don't know what pollard trees are, but I agree-they can have a sinister look to them!
Gorgeous golden colors and the shadows are so lumpy and cute.
It almost looks like the tree fingers are breaking in! STUNNING photos!

I'm not sure, are the shadows spooky or are they lifting their arms in praise?
Wow, those are some very interesting trees. They sure cast neat shadows and lucky for us, you captured them! Very nice Catherine. Have a good weekend.
The tree appears to be crawling up the wall.
Luckily the children sleeping behind the windows don't see those spooky shadows;)
Oh, I like your shadows!
thanks for all the lovely comments this week - very much appreciated...
That first shot is fantastic! I love the ochre against the blue sky as well as that quirky shadow playing on the building.
Interesting looking trees...cool shadows!
