Shadow Shot Sunday 153 - Frejus

....and following on from the last post, here are the sandy vistas of Frejus late in the afternoon when the shadows are especially elongated with Saint Raphael across the water in the distance....

It's all about the beach at the moment here on the French Riviera as summer truly sets in.... For more shadow shots this week click HERE for Shadow Shot Sunday. Enjoy!!

The sands make a wonderful canvas for shadows and love the view in the distance!

Feeling rather land-locked and envious of your access to the sandy and warm beaches!
But, I really love your shadow collage! What fun!

Terrific shadow collage as always, Catherine! The sand does indeed make a wonderful canvas for the shadows! Love the view! Hope your weekend is going well -- can't imagine that it wouldn't!!!

beautiful
as are the reflections in the previous post

the beach in my post is Union Beach, NJ - right off Raritan Bay directly across from lower NYC

Perhaps you gained many inches in height - or the sun creates a truly illusory shadow instead! The beach in June does seem a bit empty, although the hordes will be arriving really soon - be certain that the shadow gatherer stays out of the way for the inevitable rush!

Oh! How I long to be able to stand in the places your feet take us. Thanks for allowing us to follow in your footsteps.

If it were not for bloggers like you I would never get to see the world.

Fabulous shadows on a great beach. Wonderful to be able to see a Riviera beach without a flood of sunbathers.

Hi Catherine, Lovely long shadows there, no doubt the sand was still warm from soaking up sunshine during the day.

Wanted to thank you for all your comments, always appreciated... I've been a bit absent from the blogosphere of late, between travelling recently, and work, and life issues, I've had to curtail time on-line. Hope to be a little more present once I get my glasses changed, current pair is driving me cross-eyed, especially where computer screens are concerned.

Spent a lovely couple of hours the other day exploring the western hillside part of Ventimiglia which climbs steeply from the center, beautiful narrow alleys there. Then raced past Nice and Monaco on the way to Toulon and my sister-in-law's place, before heading home in the chilly northlands.
