Shifty Shades of Grey....

This is the view from my classroom window, and Port Hercule, Monaco is usually bathed in sunshine under bright blue Riviera skies with the glinting of polished chrome on the yachts flashing across the water, but I quite like these uncharacteristic shifting shades of grey.......

The muted shades and tones of the mist, mountains and the mirror-like glassy grey surface of the water are all rather appealing, but hang on a minute this is Monaco......Nothing like a fluorescent shocking pink surreal stiletto to break the grey.......What is the occasion??

No Finish Line is a hugely popular and well supported charity event held every November whereby competitors jog, run and walk round a circuit clocking up the km on their chipped ankle bracelets - all for a very good cause...

More splashes of vivid and vibrant colour against that background of grey - with Santa making an early appearance to herald the imminent start of the festive season....

What colour has been on your radar this week??

Gray has most definitely been our color for the past week and so typical of Seattle!! Interesting to see so much of it in your part of the world!! Terrific captures as always! Hope you have a great week!

I'm surprised to see that the last photo looks more like a shot of Vancouver than how I envision Monaco. Of course, that would be summer in Vancouver. Nice to see that the Riviera glitz turns itself down a notch for a bit of winter relief.

Here on Canada's east coast, we've had more than our fair share of cold blue skies thus far and no one is missing the traditional grey with is spew of white flecks.
