Shadows fall across the very pretty cemetery of St Paul de Vence, a hilltop village near the Riviera town of Vence which is very well known for its artists and galleries....
Indeed one very famous artist is buried here, namely Marc Chagall....

Fantastic shadow shots for the day, Catherine!! And such beautiful skies! Hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend!!
WOW-what a beautiful cemetery-not to mention all those flowers and the VIEW!!
Lovely lighting creates some interesting shadow shapes in this attractive cemetery.
The granite sculptures and flowers make for a colorful and joyous cemetery - a place not so much of sadness. The shadows that emanate from these add style and art to a place certainly without mourning. Very nicely captured!
I like the similar shadows patterns.
looks very hot
The cemetery looks surprisingly similar to cemeteries in Mexico, don't you think?
Ecstatic Shadows
Thanks for all the lovely comments...
That's the prettiest cemetery I've ever seen! Are the flowers always there?
I visited Chagall's tomb a few years ago and left a small stone as was customary back then. I wonder if they still do that??
A most fantastic photo display. Highly creative. Many thanks.
Greetings from London.
