Shadow Shot Sunday 190 - St Paul de Vence

Shadows fall across the very pretty cemetery of St Paul de Vence, a hilltop village near the Riviera town of Vence which is very well known for its artists and galleries....

Indeed one very famous artist is buried here, namely Marc Chagall....

The granite sculptures and flowers make for a colorful and joyous cemetery - a place not so much of sadness. The shadows that emanate from these add style and art to a place certainly without mourning. Very nicely captured!

The cemetery looks surprisingly similar to cemeteries in Mexico, don't you think?

That's the prettiest cemetery I've ever seen! Are the flowers always there?

I visited Chagall's tomb a few years ago and left a small stone as was customary back then. I wonder if they still do that??
