Shadow Shot 59 - Cuetzalan

The courtyard of my posada in Cuetzalan was perfectly pretty and pleasing during the day...

but a little more spooky and threatening at night under the floodlights......

Why was the courtyard floodlit?? Because we were watching the Quetzal dancers, of course, whirling about on their wooden frame at breakneck speeds....

If the wonderful world of the culture of Cuetzalan is a little out of your reach today distance-wise, then why not nip over to Shadow Shot Sunday for some fascinating photography....

Love that quirky paint job on that apartment building below as well - too fun!

Spooky & threatening ? There weren't any of those dolls hanging around in the shadows, having escaped from their island ?

The spinning contraption with the dancers on it looks like a surefire way to lose one's lunch ! Hopefully they didn't ?

Wonderful shadows, even at night when the margaritas are flowing...yummm...

I love the gentle, romantic, graceful shadows of the first picture of your posada courtyard contrasted with the second more ornate and passionate night shot.

Did someone say "margaritas"?

Pretty courtyard shadows! I get a little dizzy looking the still photo of those Quetzal dancers. :D

I love the sweeping graceful shadows of the day shot
and then the strong lines of the night shadows
lovely!

The wrought iron furniture is ornate and highly styled. Therefore, the shadows are created in this likeness. To sit under the sun while sitting on the patio feel quite relaxing...

Your shadows are great but the capture of the dancers is spectacular.

I don't find your wrought iron shots spooky at all - I think they are absolutely beautiful. And how I'd love to see the Quetzal dancers - they look so exciting.
