Shadow Shot Sunday 108 - West Coast

Where would you find this gorgeous clapboard house with the palm tree imprint splashed over its facade on such a bright and sunny morning??

Well, walk a few minutes further on and its location should surely need no further introduction.......

If you get the weather, strolling along the promenade and the waterfront around the Golden Gate Bridge is certainly a lovely thing to do in San Francisco. Enjoy other shadow shots from around the world by clicking here.... Where is your favourite place to stroll to blow away the cobwebs, or to sit and admire the view??

How can anyone ever tire of looking at the Golden Gate Bridge? It is one of those contemplative scenes that never grows old or wearisome.

SHADOWY DINNER

A shadow, a shadow, a shadow you say?
A shadow is coming to dinner today?

Oh, what shall we feed it, and what will it eat?
Just toss down a few rays of light at its feet,

And watch its dark mouth gobble up every ray,
But be sure, my friend, you don’t get in its way;

Keep out of the light so it won’t gobble you.
(If I were the hostess, that’s just what I’d do.)

A shadow is easy to feed, so they say,
So welcome your shadow to dinner today.

No, I never tire of looking at the Golden Gate either! Such an incredible sight it is and what a superb capture! Love the palm tree shadow on the house, too. You did get some terrific shadow shots for the day, Catherine! Hope you have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy!

The simple house with the gambrel roof sits unadorned - except for the magnificent view of the straits of the Golden Gate!

As for relaxing views, any beach where my wheelchair can go will do. Scanning the watery horizon with a briny sea breeze enveloping me, a quiet look without any action on my part, is the most relaxing indeed!

The shadow shape on the building is so crisp! Like a fan! And love the views of the iconic bridge!

Wow, west coast water views... and when will you be heading east, across the great water where there is no bridge ? And what will the blog be named after the crossing ?

I love this bridge... It think it is destined to be in my life... My best friend loves The Golden Gate Bridge and my dear husband loves its match the Lions Gate Bridge... fate... Great pictures, love the shadow from the bike... I am glad that I followed your link from Shadow Shot Sunday, I too am linking up if you'd like to visit.
Hugs, antonella

My memory of standing gazing at the Golden Gate Bridge involves a lot of fog suddenly rolling in off the ocean and enveloping me in a big cloud of damp coldness! I much prefer the warmth of your shadow shot!
