Art lovers will immediately recognise the tunnels of the George Pompidou Centre in Paris as the focus for this week's shadow shot. The building is exceptionally photogenic and very striking with its modern "oil refinery" appeal. The permanent collection of contemporary art, plus the temporary exhibitions - currently "Matisse - pairs and series" warrant a happy afternoon's viewing.....

The tunnel turns the light into an art gallery of shadows! Fantastic!
What a perfect vehicle this tunnels is for shadows!!
nice composition of shadows !
The mechanical world also has a functional beauty that many cannot fathom. The look of factory and pipes is rich, it draws our eyes and attention. Art in any form will do just that!
Wow what an impressive looking building! I like that you included the people in one of the shots to get a sense of scales. (of course oil refineries are pretty massive, too, aren't they. but without the art.)
Oh la la! Love the intricacies!!!

My goodness--looks a veritable fun house!
Those are over the top shadows and architecture for sure! Perfection!
Fascinating images Catherine. Thanks for sharing a different view of Paris and for visiting my blog. Enjoy Monaco!
I'm sure that tunnel makes wondrous shadows at all times of day!
