Shadow Shot Sunday 163 - Oaxaca

Where can you find this gloriously shadow-striped frame turning the view into the best of picture windows??

At the beautiful archaeological site of Monte Alban, close to Oaxaca, in Mexico...

Just look at the rest of the views from this "zebra" viewing platform!! Mexico has been on my mind this week as Day of the Dead approaches, and it will be the first time in eight years that I have not celebrated this unique Festival...

What are you missing this week?? Try checking out Shadow Shot Sunday for more windows on the world of light and shade......Enjoy!!

Terrific shadow shots for the day, Catherine! I love Oaxaca, but haven't been there in many years! Thanks for the memories! Hope you have a great weekend!

The 'zebra' look in shadow is fabulous! One has to think that the builders of where you stand must have had an eye for these neat details. Wonderfully captured! For this week, everything to be attended locally is planned - sometimes, the same is never boring...

Those are incredible 'stripes'!! Yowsas!

I was just thinking today that it's time to get my altar together.

I love the collage of stripe shadows, as well as the first view that appears to be framed!

Been there!!! Too bad Mexico has turned into an unsafe culture....it use to be a lot of fun to go....now you have to watch your back all the time.

Love the shadows and scenery from the big 'picture window'.

WoW! Love those zebra shadows.

I didn't realize you had been in Mexico for eight years. Yep, I bet you do feel a tad bit homesick.
