Where is this beautiful and boldly shadowed window on the world?? It is at the entrance to the museum at the archaeological site of Monte Alban, Oaxaca (featured in the previous post). The uninterrupted views and vistas from this hilltop site are second to none....
But I was also struck by this strong pattern of shadows which tells you just how strong the sun was on that day.....

What gorgeous bold shadows! What a wonderful place to visit - such lovely views!
The look of the zebra is all about! The bod shadowy striping is amazing, and really geometric. As Martha said, the stripes and mountaintop view do compete for our attention. And both are wonderful!
Oh my, it's always been a dream of mine to visit the ruins some day, love the history of ancient Mexico...beautiful!

Wow, spectacular shadows! And the view is amazing.
That shadowed window is amazing! The sun must certainly have been shining very brightly to cast such strong shadows! Wow! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend Catherine :)
