Shadow Shot Sunday 132 - Antibes

Here are a collection of decorative doorknobs and window widgets casting their fine shadows in Antibes and Cagnes-Sur-Mer on the French Riviera...

This post is for Tracey in Brisbane who has hosted Shadow Shot Sunday so wonderfully well for the past three years - her hosting will be sorely missed...

Fortunately the reins are being passed on so the meme will fortunately continue....check out the other shadow shots this week by clicking here. Enjoy!!

Intriguing, both the shadows and the widgets. Not too many shadows being cast in this part of the world these days (Pacific northwest). Bon weekend, Catherine!

Those knobs cast such beautifully defined shadows! Fascinating!

There is no doubt to me that the elegance in style in France goes down to even the most prosaic and mundane items. The shapes are artistic, the shadows even moreso. Curves and angles combine to make fabulous shadows!

Window widgets - I like that terminology!

You captured some great, bold shadows this week.

MANY SHADOW-SEEKERS SAY

Many shadow-seekers say,
“Oh, the one that got away!”

Why are you so uptight, folks?
Can’t you take light’s little jokes?

I just adore these shadow shots Catherine! It's the simple things that create the sweetest of shadows! Oh and of course the artful way in which you capture them makes them sweeter :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Your photography is delightful. I really appreciate the initial abstract appearance like todays and last weeks shadow shots yet they are of identifiable real objects. (I usually need a clue or two to work out what though :D)

Ah, so you have moved to my mother's old stomping grounds (she lived in Saint-Raphaël her last years, and before that in Carpentras). Lovely shadows, Catherine.

Those shots are really creatively framed. I thought they were some form of sculpture at first and I guess they are!
