I have been admiring so many beautiful shadow snow shots from around the world recently, and vicariously enjoying those very cold winters that so many of you have been experiencing, but today I couldn't resist posting some colourful, sunny beach shots from my recent November trip to Miami South Beach....
I really like the combination of the lurid lime of the windsurfer sail with the bright, bright blue of those Miami skies....
The delicate shadow imprint of the mesh and the number of the sail, also adds interest to this beach shot. Aren't the combination of colours just gorgeous in this final shot?

These are heap cool photos. I love ‘em. I love the contrast and strength of colour and the brightness of them all.

Warm looks fine to this northerner! The low tide washes upon the white sand, the briny and warm air a place to relax. Under the pleasant November sun. A warm view takes the chill away, if only briefly...
Terrific, sunny shadow shots for the day, Catherine, as always! I love the pattern of the net! Hope you have a lovely weekend! Enjoy!

Sunshine, warmth, blue skies ... I could look at your photos for hours, as we continue to freeze here!!
happiness is a warm beach! I love the shadows of the nets, and your descriptionof the color- "Lurid Lime."
I like those bright colours on the beach!
the last pictures really displays all the wonderful colors...nice shots!!
I love the detail of the shadows! It looks beautiful there.
I'm getting a bit warmed up from the heat of the sun, sand, and vibrant colours of these photos. I noticed in the post below that you said you've survived a winter in Winnipeg?!!! Well, you certainly have earned your years in Mexico, trying to warm up from that experience!
Love the shots of the sail's shadows! Great shots of water and sand as well!
hope you are having a wonderful weekend!
Cool shadows, lovely scenery.
Beautiful, Catherine. I love the reflected numbers, and you're right, the colours in the last shot.

These beachy warm photos are just what we needed on a cold day in Ohio Catherine - thanks!!
Love the lime green, the mesh shadows and numbers.
Your sail shadows are lovely and that water looks so very inviting! Splashing around in that beach right now would be quite a treat!
I'm also having fun admiring the many winter snow shadows from other shooters as snow is something so foreign to me. Have a great week Catherine :)
Once you visit Florida, you have the overwhelming desire to want to live there, such beauty...I followed my dream once and picked up and moved there, it was the most glorious 3 years ever spent. Family illness then tragedy pulled me back to Iowa, but I still dream of the warm aqua waters of my Florida!
Your photos are so pretty. Wishing I was there!
What I wouldn't give to be in that photo right now! Warm and wonderful!!
great sail shadow!
wonderful comments this week - thanks so much everyone - and yes Louciao I did brave a Winnipeg Siberian winter - did a one year teaching exchange there 1989/1990 - lot of fun but glad I no longer have to face that winter !!
You are the global trekker for sure! Miami this week, huh?
Nice shots-very geometric.
