Put on your Shades!!.....It's Time for Tlacotalpan!!

I know a lot of you living up North in the land of eternal winter and snow are weary of the weather, and eagerly awaiting the first signs of Spring....and a splash of colour. No need to wait any longer!! Feast your eyes on this banquet of vibrant hues courtesy of a very sleepy town in the state of Veracruz....namely Tlacotalpan. It surely is the most colourful place on the globe!! of course all the streets are a fine mixture of all the colours of the rainbow, cheek by jowl, by I couldn't resist colour coding them according to a Comex paint chart. What do you think of the results???

Red and yellow, and green, and blue.....Yep they are all here!! Which is your favourite?? Think I am plumping for the sizzling hot, hot pink!! For more global glimpses of the world this week, check out My World Tuesday by clicking here....Enjoy!! And Spring is surely just around the corner.....??

Thanks for the heads up to don our shades! I am basking in the glow of these intensely hot colours and working on my tan as I gaze at them in wonder. My favourite is the first one with the multiple hues; second would be the orange with lime and lemon flavourings...kind of like my kitchen on acid. Great stuff!

Oh Catherine, you are so right. Weary is not even the half of it. I will have to escape the bleakness soon. These pix do help. My fave is of course, the violet.

These colour coded collages are a total treat! Thank you from snowy/rainy Victoria BC. I cannot choose a favorite. They're all lovely.

Oh, I love all the colors and, as always, they do bring back such fun memories of my year in Mexico! And what a warm, delightful post to enjoy on another cold, gray, grim day! I'm doing daily offerings to the weather gods to make sure we have lovely sunshine for your visit to Seattle and Washington!! Have a great week, Catherine!

Wow ! That's all I can say ! Things are much more subdued around here. Walking those streets must be like drinking ten cups of coffee !

The variety of colors certainly is eye candy. Veracruz... I heard that mentioned in some film. Thanks for a glimpse of your world.

Brilliant way of showing all that colourful beauty.
The colours are so cheerful, they would be just as happy in a snowscape and bring much needed cheer there.
What a lovely and beautifully maintained town it is!

You've made me cheerful with beautiful facades, beautiful photos, beautiful framing, and last but not least, beautiful idea. I can't decide easily which color I love, each and every color is pleasing, but I'll go for my all time favorite blue color.

I love the first one, Catherine, with all the colours, but they're all great. Yes, we needed a jolt of colour here right about now. I just posted "G is for green" for the ABC Wednesday meme, to get away from the searingly cold whiteness outside my window.
Spring, unfortunately, comes late here in Alberta. Gardeners call May 24 "gardening weekend" around here. May! Imagine! I'd love to be in Mexico right now. A friend in San Felipe, Baja, is painting her kitchen cupboards right now and I'd love to be there to supervise. LOL

All I can say is Thank You! I love all the colors as I sit here in our building on a hillside where we are encased in soft, gray fog.
