This blog used to be about living in Mexico City and travelling throughout Mexico, but I have now moved to the French Riviera, living in Nice and working in Monaco.....Can the simple life be found here?? I will try and find out....

Shadow Shot Sunday 129 - St Paul de Vence
The Riviera is ablaze with Autumn colours at present, so here is a Shadow Shot featuring an Autumnal theme......

Bonjour Catherine. These colors are magnificent. Did you enjoy your visit to St Paul de Vence? I was there in August. I arrived early so I could beat the crowds and was able to take lots of pictures in the almost empty streets. By 11:30am, they were swarming with tourists! Bet the village is a lot more peaceful now ;-) Veronique
I don't normally associate pine cones with the French Riviera. Shouldnt' they be painted gold or studded with diamonds? They do cast interesting shadows. Great autumn hues in those leaves, quite a contrast to the riveting blues you've been treating us to. The shutters are great! All we have around here are fake useless things nailed to the wall.
The colors there are bold and brilliant - an autumnal fire of color! We missed much of the color in New England, the very rainy summer, northeast hurricane and October snow altering the timing of the color change and the leaves fell, many still green. The autumn in normal times is a favorite season for the colors alone. Nicely captured!
I love you shadow shots for the day -- left a comment earlier, but for some reason it didn't show up??? Love the window box and the shutters! Delightful! Hope you've had a great weekend!
Beautiful, beautiful shots Catherine! We just love these shutters - they remind us of the shutters on the cottages along the Georgia coast - very cool! Looks like you are settling in quite well in France! Have a lovely weekend! Karla & Karrie

I just love those Mediterranean shutters that lift up at the bottom. We saw them in June when we visited Italy.

Lovely color, I don't think of the Riviera as having seasons but obviously it does.
