Shadow Shot Sunday 130 - St Paul de Vence

Another splendid shadowy Autumnal scene in the heart of the medieval village of St Paul de Vence. What is this space awaiting so patiently??

A hearty afternoon game of Boules of course.....and here is more Boules being played outside a cafe on the coastal path in Cap D'Ail complete with pumpkins and Autumn foliage...

I am so enjoying this season which I haven't witnessed for over six years. For more shadow shots from around the world click here for Shadow Shot Sunday. Enjoy!

Lovely shots Catherine. Since "Les Bad Men" stole my laptop and all the photos of my summer trip to the French Riviera a few days ago, I particularly enjoyed returning to St Paul de Vence with you. While I was there, I could almost see the legendary couple Simone Signoret and Yves Montand, who lived their love openly in this charming village in the 1950s... The legend says Yves loved to entertain crowds while playing "pétanque" next to their love nest, la Colombe d'Or. Thank you for the memories. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

This is exactly the pétanque place next to the Colombe d'0r!! So sorry to hear about the theft of your laptop - you will have to return to take more photos when you can.....

Such a lovely place! A place to slinger at that cafe, a couple of demitasse coffees to watch the world pass by. A place to truly relax...

Your shadows are beautiful but it must be difficult to play Boules with so many of them.

It's the time to go there; less tourists, just the feeling of the nice quiet little village, school children, some petanque players...
